ellesse launches an exclusive heritage collection

For those of you suffering from a bout of retrophilia, fear no more, as this autumn ellesse goes back to its roots and launches a capsule collection true to its Italian heritage.
Born in 1959 and specialising in ski and tennis wear, ellesse was recognised as one of the world's luxury sport brands, supporting a bold statement of looking good whilst also working out. For this upcoming autumn ellesse turns back to its past and introduces an Italian retro sportswear range dedicated to its glamorous heritage.
The collection features a number of iconic looks including heritage print cardigans, ellesse polo shirts buttoned to the top, velour tracksuits inspired by the famous 1980’s shell suits and a modern take on the classic ellesse tennis dress. With a mixture of both pastel and block colouring, there is a true element of nostalgia running throughout the collection. The line cleverly combines its retro apparel with contemporary footwear, to add a little twist of modern attitude. Oversized clothing is also a very popular look – ellesse tennis skirts, cardigans, t shirts and zip–ups all celebrate the so called larger than life concept. In tune with this look, the poncho also makes a comeback, in an attempt to stay warm but also look stylish throughout those bitter winter months.
