The courts got sexy in Madrid

15 June 2011

True to our tennis roots, we retuned to the courts of Madrid to dress the world’s hottest ball boys and girls with classic and classy ellesse polos and tennis dresses.

The 10th Mutua Madrid Open ran from 29th April until the 8th May and was a winning tournament for both Novak Djokovic and ellesse. The ball kids were kitted out in bespoke ellesse outfits, with models taking over as ball boys and girls for the semi-finals and finals, a unique concept to the Mutua Madrid Open.

We promised a tournament of high performance and Italian style and it certainly did not disappoint. The level of tennis glued TV and live spectators to their seats. The audience wasn’t bad either with the likes of footballer Cristiano Ronaldo watching, as well as ellesse legend and founder of the Madrid Open Ion Tiriac, both seeming equally excited by the proceedings.

The men’s final was between Djokovic and Nadal. Against most odds Djokovic beat Nadal 7-5 6-4 to be crowned the winner of the Mutua Madrid Open!

The specially created collection looked great on the court and something that Leonardo would be proud of! If you missed out on the tennis action, see all the images at: http://on.fb.me/ivAdEZ
