ellesse explores – celebrating the pioneering spirit

Since 1959, ellesse has been defined by a unique spirit and style. It began when Italian tailor Leonardo Servadio, fused a passion for skiing and tennis with a flair for couture. The result was the first ever skiwear and tennis collections to look as good as they felt, and to fit as well as they performed.

Leonardo Servadio branded his work with his initials LS, which then evolved into ‘ellesse’ and a pioneering concept was born: exclusive, performance-led sportswear, tailored to precision with genuine Italian flair.

On Thursday 8th October, original style innovator ellesse hosted a one-off event at East London pop up shop Number Six, to screen a new short film exploring the concept of this same pioneering spirit from the perspective of four influential creatives from the contemporary cultural landscape.

Alongside carefully selected pieces from the ellesse archive there was a photographic exhibition and live performances from DJs Citizenn and License 2 Trill.
